Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Systems Engineering Department Manager 3 to join our Engineering and Manufacturing team within Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division in Roy, Utah.

What You'll Get To Do
This selected candidate will be responsible for a department within the Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to the SDS Systems Engineering Director. You will set operating objectives and provide mentorship to Functional Home Room (FHR) Section Managers (SMs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy. Provide oversight and assistance to multiple business areas within the division portfolio (Sentinel / GBSD, ICBM Sustainment and Advanced Programs); to provide the people, skills, and processes for successful achievement of program goals.
As the Department Manager you will be responsible for managing career and personnel development, enabling program success through people, processes, tools, and training, and providing program and business support where needed to help ensure overall success. You will also have frequent contact with equivalent level managers and programs to maintain and exceed health and performance across the organization for all programs.
The successful candidate will be the functional / managerial leader of a team of engineers focused on Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A). This team is focused on design analysis & optimization, technical performance measure (TPM) reporting, and weapon system assessment for systems in all phases of the lifecycle. The ability to understand this scope is essential.
