Internship Summary    Join Ralco’s Innovation Team for a hands-on internship focused on animal care, lab research, and support.

You’ll assist with livestock feeding, sample collection, record keeping, and equipment maintenance—all while gaining experience in swine, poultry, and ruminant research.   This internship also includes the opportunity to job shadow other areas of the Ralco business that are of interest to the intern.

This includes, but is not limited to, Ralco nutritionists, sales team, research & development, finance / accounting, purchasing, marketing, and administrative services.     This job description is not meant to be all inclusive.  Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.   Responsibilities   Assist with execution of research protocols from start to finish   Support livestock care, including feeding and sample collection   Conduct laboratory testing for swine, poultry, and ruminant research   Maintain and calibrate equipment, manage supplies, and ensure facility cleanliness   Monitor and observe experiments, recording production and test data for evaluation by research personnel   Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings effectively   Participate in job shadowing across departments such as nutrition, sales, R&D, finance, and marketing       Qualifications   Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field as a sophomore or higher   Fundamental laboratory experience as well as chemistry, biology, and animal science knowledge.  Comfortable working with cattle and other animals.   Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently   Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite   Willingness to work flexible hours and travel between Ralco facilities   Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the key work duties.      For further information contact :
