Level III Trauma Center Busy 70+ Bed Facility 3-Month Assignment

Opportunity Snapshot : A 70+ bed acute care hospital in Belton, Missouri, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a 3-month locum assignment. The facility offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services with strong physician and APP support in a busy emergency department environment.

Annual ED Volume : 31,000 visits

Emergency Department : 17 beds, including 7 fast-track chairs

Coverage Model :

30 hours of physician coverage Monday-Friday (10 & 12-hour shifts)

24 hours of physician coverage Saturday-Sunday

24 hours of APP coverage daily

Schedule : Must be flexible for days, nights, and weekends

Patient Population : Adult and geriatric

Support Staff : 260+ physicians, 300+ clinical and administrative staff

EMR : Not specified

Requirements :

Board Certified / Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)

FM / IM trained physicians must have at least 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience

Emergency Medicine Residency Trained - Required

Active or eligible for Missouri medical license

ACLS, ATLS, PALS - Required

Must be comfortable in a high-volume emergency setting
