In This Role You Will
- Write product instructions, user manuals, and other materials for all four products to explain complex information and procedures.
- Write help information available to customers online.
Typical Functions
Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables.Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality.Manage documentation projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.Escalate project issues, roadblocks, and scope changes as they occur.Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal teams to develop and maintain documentation that meets quality metrics.Follow established documentation development practices as set forth in the corporate style guide.Write, format, edit, review, and proofread procedural and technical information for technical and nontechnical users.Provide editing support for all document types as requested.Maintain the library of application documentation and catalog it for internal and external use.Research changes to documentation and update existing documents as required.Solicit feedback to measure documentation effectiveness.Conduct user / task analysis to determine documentation requirements with direction from Manager / Lead.Apply effective documentation development practices, including templates and standards.Perform peer reviews to ensure accuracy, relevance, and usability, and conformity to style guides.Use established templates to create and publish documentation.Develop documentation plans and schedules for identified projects.Advise other departments on user interface and writing standards.Proactively seek solutions and coordinate with resources to resolve issues.Edit or amend the style guide as standards change or create one where none exists.Requirements
2-4 years of proven experience as a technical writer for the software industry.Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.Strong communication skills to explain information to customers, technical staff, managers, executives, and cross-functional teams.Ability to adhere to standard technical communication processes and apply appropriate technology for documentation type.Experience gathering, analyzing, and structuring information from multiple sources; understanding software development life cycle.Ability to evaluate information, reconcile conflicts, and present accessible concepts to the audience.Observational and data modeling skills to inform documentation.Exemplary writing samples required.Ability to work with ambiguity and negotiate priorities among stakeholders.Strong consultative skills and ability to make persuasive recommendations based on business rationale.Key Competencies

This is a hybrid position and will be part of our Denver office with an expectation of working three days in-office (Tuesday–Thursday) and two days remote (Monday and Friday). Candidates outside the Denver Metro Area will be considered as needed.
