Job Description
Senior Transportation Planner – Richmond
A well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to transformative transportation, transit, and multimodal planning projects that shape communities across the region.
As a Senior Transportation Planner, you’ll play a key role in leading complex planning studies , coordinating directly with clients and stakeholders, and helping to deliver innovative solutions to meet today’s mobility challenges.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead or support transportation, transit, and multimodal planning studies , including corridor studies, alternatives analyses, and service planning
- Manage day-to-day staffing, scheduling, and technical responsibilities for assigned projects
- Conduct data collection, analysis, and research on land use, transportation, social, and economic trends
- Prepare planning reports, conceptual designs, and presentations for clients, advisory boards, and public meetings
- Represent the firm in communications with clients, agencies, and elected officials
- Assist with project management activities, including scope, budget, and task tracking
- Contribute to proposal writing and business development pursuits as needed
