HealthFitness is looking for a full-time (40 hours / week), benefits-eligible Lifeguard to join our dynamic team at our client site in Marysville, Ohio (OH).

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.

Full-time : 40 hours / week

Schedule : Flexible, within the following hours of operation : M-F 5am-6pm, Sat 10am-3pm

Your Impact :

  • Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
  • Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
  • Respond appropriately to any emergency.
  • Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
  • Attend all required staff meetings and training.
  • Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
  • Maintain a professional attitude.
  • Other duties as needed / assigned.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR / AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
  • Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
  • Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
  • Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

    • All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of :

  • 500 yard swim.
  • Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.
  • Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.
  • Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.

    • Compensation : $14 / hr - $16 / hr. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
