Job Description & Requirements Specialty : PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel RN Position Job Notes : Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care including medical surgical and step-down patients
• Patient ratios of 1 : 5 to 1 : 6 depending on level of care
• Care for short stay patients (less than 24 hour length of stay) with quick turnover
• Work with telemetry equipment - all patients hardwired to bedside monitors when telemetry monitoring is indicated
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Required certifications : BLS and ACLS
• Must have telemetry competency and progressive care experience
• Recent progressive care experience preferred
• Every other weekend required, no call required
• Required to float to other units if needed
• Day shift staffing : 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Night shift staffing : 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Dress code : Navy and / or white top, navy bottom, all white
