Benefits Specialist
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the daily administration of the company's benefits and wellbeing programs. This role requires a deep understanding of benefits administration, technical processes, and the ability to think critically all while demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting a culture of health and wellbeing.
Essential Functions :
- Benefits Management : Manage escalated inquiries and issues related to Outfitter benefits, including but not limited to health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits. Collaborate with benefits vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Critical Thinking : Support competitive analysis, data analysis, and reporting of insights upon request. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are essential. Must identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations for change.
- Workday : Must be knowledgeable in Workday and able to process Workday inbox tickets, run error reports, correct error reports, run audits, and make recommendations for changes in process, automation, instructions, etc.
- Communications : Provide benefit & wellbeing resources to HRBP's, Support Center, and outfitters as needed and respond timely to requests.
- All other duties as assigned
Experience / Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related experience.Minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits administration, leave management, or a related HR function.Strong understanding of federal and state regulations governing employee benefits.Experience managing sensitive employee issues with professionalism and discretion.Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.Knowledge, Skills and Ability :
In-depth knowledge of benefits administration practices and principles.Familiarity with leave management processes, including FMLA and ADA requirements.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Proficiency in HRIS systems and other relevant software applications.Commitment to promoting employee health, wellness, and inclusion.Physical Requirements :
Regularly sits and performs computer work.Occasionally walks and stands.Seldom lifts up to 50lbs.Independent Judgement :
Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices.
