Assists companies awarded economic and / or redevelopment incentives with information regarding their incentive packages. Responsible for the drafting and administration of incentive agreements, tax credit certifications, and grant payments, as well as collecting and analyzing employment payroll, qualified investment reports, grant payment, and tax credit data from companies. Serves as the main point of contact regarding major State economic development incentives for clients, stakeholders, and internal staff to identify and resolve needs and to find additional incentive opportunities through timely communications.
The salary for this position is $56,770 annually.
A Day in the Life :
- Serves as the main point of contact for assigned portfolio of companies
- Provides clear and accurate information to companies regarding the economic development incentives awarded to them
- Works directly with business development and redevelopment staff to facilitate economic development opportunities in the State, and with compliance / field monitoring staff to verify accuracy of company data and contractual compliance
- Completes annual tax credit certifications timely and accurately
- Completes grant payment requests timely and accurately
- Monitors and reviews portfolio companies' annual reporting requirements to the IEDC
- Identifies situations which would call for contract revision or enforcement activities i.e. Layoffs, closures, corporate reorganizations, etc.
- Maintains complete, detailed notes and keeps well-organized incentive program files electronically
- Responds to management inquiries regarding company information or reporting needs
- Provides exceptional client service and meets or exceeds job performance metrics as expected by the department manager
- Critical Thinking Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Complex Problem Solving identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

Education :
Bachelor's Degree, business / accounting / finance preferred2-3 years of experience in business / accounting / finance preferredExperience :
