About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience required

License : Must have a valid nursing license

Certifications : BCLS, NIH

Must-Have :

• Orthopedic work experience is required
• Experience using Epic charting system is necessary

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not able to be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO could possibly result in a cancellation.

Must have orthopedic experience.

Unit will accept first-time travelers with Epic experience.

Locals are accepted.

Skills needed include IV start and telemetry.

Preferred certifications include ACLS, charge nurse experience, and Level I trauma experience.

Ratios are expected to be 5-6 : 1 and can flex up to 7 : 1 in extreme cases.

Unit will accept contracts for 13-16 weeks.

The biggest need is for Monday to Thursday shifts.

36 hours or 48 hours can be offered, and no overtime is permitted until after 48 hours.

Maximum approved RTO is 7 days.

Float requirement is required; travelers may float to any other medical-surgical unit based on staffing needs.

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

If a nurse calls out on a weekend, they must make up the time on a weekend.

The average daily census is approximately 37 patients.

Patient population includes orthopedic, neuro spine, medical-surgical, and post-surgical.

All COVID-19 patients will be cared for throughout the facility and are no longer cohorted to a specific unit.

This is a fast-paced unit requiring nurses to stay on top of pain management for orthopedic and spine patients.

Nurses must be customer service-oriented.

Candidates are expected to have strong neuro / spine and orthopedic experience.

Candidates must be comfortable floating within the hospital with no restrictions or special requests.
