Job Summary : This role provides leadership and direction to the Maintenance department and its staff members.
Required Qualifications :
- College courses in Maintenance related discipline; Millwright or Electrical certificate of qualification is preferred
- Strong communicator in the Spanish Language, both written and oral
- Minimum 8 - 10 years experience in Maintenance position in industry;
- 3 years at manager level
- Must have experience in welding / stamping facility
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- High level of time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lead a team
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations

Oversee maintenance related functions :PM program / schedule that ensures machine robustness along with the coordination of production schedule needsEnsure all equipments and tools are maintained properly to avoid interruption of production and to minimize unnecessary downtimeAnalyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problemsEnsure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize unnecessary machine downtimeMaintain maintenance related recordsTo co-ordinate with outside contractors on equipment repairs and to source the most effective repairs and upgrades costProvide input and ensure completion of CI projectsAble to stand in for Facilities Manager in absenceEnsure proper planning and control for all areas of responsibility in Maintenance department (e.g. labour, overtime, equipment, travel, etc).Maintains clear written recordsCreates and ensures a safe and secure work environmentAchieve goals and objectives that are set out each year by the General ManagerContribute to ongoing improvements to throughput, inventory and operational expense.Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee HandbookWorking Conditions
