Job Description\n

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for an Acute Care Float position in California requiring a CA RN license, ACLS, BLS, and travel experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Acute Care Float pool
  • Float to Telemetry units as needed based on census and unit needs
  • Care for patients in ICU and other acute care settings
  • Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7 : 00 to 19 : 00
  • Every other weekend required
  • On call as needed based on census
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Role involves providing comprehensive care to ICU and acute care patients and may include leadership and delegation responsibilities
  • Preferred candidates will have experience with IABP, Impella, and PIRRT procedures
  • Must be available for required lab work within 3-5 days of accepting an offer
  • Only one holiday request off will be approved per contract
  • Return staff must have been gone at least one year to be eligible
  • Modules will be completed during orientation, with time requirements varying by specialty
  • Requires residing outside a 50-mile radius from the facility for travel rate eligibility
  • Locals accepted at local rate

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current AHA certifications : ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS in hand before consideration
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Ability to float to various units including Telemetry and ICU
