Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in California requiring current CA RN license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery setting
  • 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • 36 hours per week on a 32-week contract
  • Care for laboring mothers, newborns, and high-risk OB patients
  • Responsibilities include supporting laboring mothers, monitoring fetal and maternal status, and assisting with delivery and immediate newborn care
  • No radius requirement; local and travel candidates are compensated at the same rate
  • A gap of at least 6 months is required between permanent employment and travel assignment eligibility in this health system
  • COVID vaccination required
  • Teamwork environment with experienced L&D staff

    • Requirements

  • Active California RN license
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • At least 1 year of full-time recent (within the last 3 years) Labor & Delivery experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
  • Preference for candidates with a BSN or related degree
  • High-risk Labor & Delivery and recent OB experience preferred
