Job Summary : Fortune School of Education is seeking a team-oriented professional who will assist with Fortune's athletic program under the leadership of the Athletic Director. Responsibilities include coaching and providing direction to student athletes to develop skill, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork; additional duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
- Assist with Fortune School of Education's athletic program under the leadership of the Athletic Director.
- Coach and provide direction to student athletes to develop skill, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
- Plan and coordinate practices, games, and related activities as assigned by the head coach.
- Maintain proper storage, maintenance and inventory of all athletic equipment and uniforms.
- Travel and supervise student athletes on team trips as needed; ensure professional conduct during contests.
- Adhere to all financial policies related to the athletic program and assist with purchasing recommendations.
- Enforce discipline policies and promote healthy lifestyles and sportsmanship.
- Supervise students in locker rooms and ensure appropriate behavior at home and away contests.
- Ensure that rules and eligibility requirements for athletic activities are explained and followed.
- Maintain a safe environment and facilities for student athletes; ensure medical and safety requirements are adhered to.
- Complete district injury reports within 24 hours for any student injury, even if a physician is not seen.
- Perform duties as assigned by the head coach and demonstrate computer / technology skills as needed.
Qualifications
Act as a positive role model and representative of Fortune School of Education; build rapport with students, parents, and teachers.Knowledge of all aspects of sport (records, planning, preparation, training, regulations).Ability to maintain a positive approach in instruction and skill development of student athletes.Training in First Aid and universal precautions.Successful coaching experience at the high school level is desirable.Other Details
