Base pay range
$90,000.00 / yr - $110,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for both U.S. and Canadian employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all federal, state, and provincial regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of two payroll professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Finance, Tax, HR, and other business partners to streamline payroll processes and strengthen system integrations.
- Manage payroll for approximately 1,600 U.S. and 350 Canadian employees across both exempt and non-exempt populations.
- Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll laws, tax filings, and benefits-related deductions.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy, automation, and efficiency.
- Provide strategic insights on how payroll impacts other functions such as benefits, 401(k), and taxation.
- Support audit readiness and ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.5–7 years of progressive payroll experience managing high-volume, multi-state payroll (500–700+ employees).Proven experience processing both U.S. and Canadian payroll required.Strong proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems; experience with Oracle HCM Cloud is a plus.Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations, compliance, and reconciliations.Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring staff.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).Strong analytical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.Proactive approach to process improvement and driving operational excellence.Schedule
Hybrid schedule with onsite work two days per week in Strafford, PA. Additional onsite time (2–4 days per week) may be required during the initial training period.
