Intern Position
Student interns receive training and mentoring performing assignments that serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to Calleguas Municipal Water District's organizational structure. This position will primarily provide administrative support to various departments within the District performing supervised duties related to recordkeeping and documentation, planning and coordination of employee meetings, and administrative and project support under the direction of the Manager of Human Resources and Risk Management. The student intern position is based at the District's headquarters in Thousand Oaks, California. It is a part-time, temporary, at-will position limited to no greater than 8 hours per day and 24 hours per week. Work schedule will be determined based upon department needs and the intern's school schedule. Work hours will typically be Monday thru Friday during regular business hours, although some weekend work may be required (e.g., for attendance at community events). The length of time for an internship is six months but may be extended by the General Manager up to an additional three months. Where possible, the District will cooperate with the intern's college or university if the school intends to award class credits for student participation in an internship program.
