Educational Program Coordinator
Facilitates, directs, and coordinates the designing, planning, implementing, and evaluating of educational programs and performance improvement activities. Ensures that such programs promote professional growth and competency of staff and the attainment of the organization's strategic goals. Ensures that educational programs are consistent with criteria and standards of care established by licensing and accrediting bodies and processional organization. Coordinates orientation / clinical experiences for nursing staff within the organization. Coordinates tracking of organization-wide educational / safety programs.
What You Will Do :
- Provide or coordinates required, elective, equipment and supplies training for the corporation and departments
- Design and implement creative, interactive, and meaningful learning programs and continuing education programs.
- Establishes and maintains tracking of required education and CEU files.
- Coordinate and / or instruct Nursing, Traveler, Department and / or Job Specific Orientation
- Facilitate and provide training during dedicated nursing programs, for example, internships and residency programs
- Assist in developing, validating, and tracking of initial and ongoing competencies for staff.
- Identifying skill gaps using direct observation, chart audits, or EERs and develop target programs to address gaps.
- Evaluate the success of learning activities by measuring their impact on learner behavior and organizational effectiveness.
- Produce and maintain department specific computer-based learning modules.
- Mentor content experts in preparing visual aids, designing program and / or troubleshooting AV equipment.
- Assist in communication to staff in departments, to include newsletters, posters or bulletin boards.
- Work with staff and managers to develop a plan of action to assist with remediation and / or knowledge deficits.
Qualifications :
Registered Nurse Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) (United States of America) RequiredBachelor's Degree in Arts / Sciences (BA / BS) Bachelor's degree in nursing, education, or health related field Preferred1-3 years experience in providing adult education Preferred1-3 years experience in area of specialty PreferredProficiency in Microsoft OfficePrefer course instructor for Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advance Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support.Benefits :
