Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with acute care experience and an active MN license for a day shift position.

Responsibilities

  • Position based in an acute care hospital with some assignments in an acute rehab facility
  • Serves patients with medical, surgical, orthopedic, neurological, neurosurgery, cardiac, and critical care needs
  • High percentage of stroke patient caseload in the acute rehab setting
  • Day shift schedule : 5x8 hour shifts from 08 : 00 to 16 : 30, with every 4th weekend required
  • Applicants must not have worked as perm staff at the facility within the past 9 months
  • Must be willing to work holiday shifts as needed
  • Requested time off is limited to 7 days and must be declared before hire; no time off permitted within the first 2 weeks
  • Medical or religious vaccine exemption form required for consideration
  • Travelers are responsible for all travel arrangements related to fingerprinting requirements
  • Requirements

  • Active MN COTA license required; license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year of COTA experience, including acute care experience
  • Travelers must reside at least 25 miles from the facility
  • Must complete fingerprinting in person in MN prior to starting, as a state requirement
