Financial Reporting Analyst

• Bachelors or Master’s degree
• 2 / 3 years of experience in Finance / Budgeting / Accounting
• Proficient in MS Access and Power BI reports building
• Business and Technical analytic skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills Desirable Qualifications
• Procurement / Contract experience
• State accounting experience Key Responsibilities :
• Combining multiple budget spreadsheets from various California State departments, then analyzing them and creating Power BI reports out of them
• Tracking actual vs. forecast budget variance for different departments
• Analyzing legislation for possible budgetary impacts
• Combining information from MS Access reports and data to report out to executive leadership and department heads.
• Assist department heads in projecting budget needs and accessing information from various financial systems.
