Non CDL Truck Driver

Immediate opening for a NON CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Grimes, IA

$1150 or more per week - And it gets better

  • Driver Positions Pay Weekly
  • Performance Pay : $0.44 / CPM
  • Stop Pay : $12 / per stop
  • Hours Per Week : Approx. 53 hours
  • Paid Training
  • Schedule : Monday Friday
  • Start Time : 3 : 00 AM Dispatch

Deliver Solo : IA

Route : Dedicated Home Daily

Tractor Type : Straight Truck (Minimum of 12 months of verifiable box truck driving experience)

Trailer Type : 20-26 Straight Trucks

Equipment : Pallet Jack and Liftgate

Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful

Freight : Touch Auto Parts

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24 / 7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide

    Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Must have verifiable driving experience (
  • must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck) :
  • 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to follow written and / or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures

    • Important Note : Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and / or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

    Responsibilities

  • This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
  • Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and / or state laws, regulations, and / or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records Loading / Unloading freight or assisting in the loading / unloading of freight if required by customer
