Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for night shifts with strong experience in trauma, angiograms, and advanced CT procedures.
Responsibilities
Work in a large hospital setting with a Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICUCT department serves inpatient, outpatient, adult, and occasional pediatric casesPatient load averages 4 patients per hour and about 40 patients per day1 : 1 patient ratio per technologistPerform procedures including biopsy drainage, trauma protocols, angiograms, and stroke perfusionAll CT equipment is GECerner is the EMR usedNight shift schedule is Sunday to Wednesday, 7 : 00 PM to 5 : 30 AMFloating required throughout various areas of the main Radiology departmentWeekend rotation typically once a month, subject to departmental needsHoliday coverage includes one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy, not guaranteed offPosition requires working both with inpatient and outpatient populations, including occasional pediatric casesOrientation consists of one 8-hour hospital session plus 2-3 shifts on unit with another technologistPrevious permanent staff must wait 6 months to be considered for travel positionsVoluntary on-call is availableNo local candidates permitted within a 60-mile radiusScrub requirements will follow hospital dress codeRequirements
Current BLS and ARRT certifications requiredARRT-CT requiredState license preferred (license required if applicable)At least 1 year of relevant CT experience with required skills; first-time travelers accepted with 2 years’ experienceStrong skills in biopsy drainage, trauma CT, angiograms requiredStroke perfusion experience strongly preferredMust be able to use GE CT equipment and Cerner EMRBenefits
