TITLE : Aerial Lineman

Pay Rate : $23-$30 Per Hour DOE
US Citizenship Required.
POSITION SUMMARY
A successful Aerial Construction Lineman shall access specific areas to install, maintain, and / or repair a customer's telecommunications equipment. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with aerial lift devices, utility lines and poles, and the functionality of each; ability to use cable placement equipment and tools; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensures adherence to and demonstrates a sound understanding of safety best practices and regulations
- Able to build aerial plant to include running / lashing / over lashing strand, coax, and fiber cables in new and rebuild construction.
- Able to climb poles as needed
- Able to complete pole transfers
- Qualified to operate a bucket truck.
- Capable of utilizing associated tools for the above described work.
- Positively motivates crew by being a team player
- Qualified to follow safe work practices with a strong understanding of OSHA / DOT standards for construction.
- Able to work standing, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods of time
- Able to lift and manipulate lasher and other cable placement equipment
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Able to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing
- Able to operate equipment, including, but not limited to an aerial lift device, lasher, and hand tools, and understanding the functioning thereof
- Other duties as assigned

Must be 21 or olderAble to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely mannerTwo plus years as an aerial lineman in a capacity similar to current requirementsFiber construction background (aerial, splicing, underground, etc.)Valid driver's license and excellent driving recordMust be able to pass a DOT physicalMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug testHigh School Diploma or GEDPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
