Senior Project Manager

They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead K-12 construction projects in the Detroit area. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise managing ground-up and renovation projects in the education sector, along with strong leadership skills to drive project success from preconstruction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee all phases of K-12 construction projects, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, including project engineers, assistant PMs, and superintendents.
  • Collaborate with school districts, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, and change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.
  • Foster long-term client relationships through communication, trust, and performance.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years managing K-12 construction projects.
  • Strong background in budgeting, scheduling, and client management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
