A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work 12-hour night shifts from 5 : 00 PM to 5 : 00 AM
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment on 10th floor
• Patient ratio of 1 : 4
• Required certifications : ACLS
• PCU and cardiac experience required
• Must be experienced with drips including heparin, tikosin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, Lasix, and ketamine
• Work with telemetry equipment, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, bipap, cpap, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires / pacers, IV pumps, and SCD pumps
• Perform procedures including chest tube placement and removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs
• EMR system : Meditech
• Night shift staffing includes 1 Charge RN, 5 nurses, and 2 PCTs
• Fast-paced and challenging cardiac unit environment
• High acuity patient population
