Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform is seeking online FE - Civil Engineering tutors to teach students nationwide. Tutors set their own schedule, earn competitive rates, and teach from home using a purpose-built Live Learning Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Tutor online one-on-one or small groups, providing personalized instruction in FE - Civil Engineering topics.
  • Adapt lessons to individual learning styles, explain concepts clearly, and monitor student progress.
  • Utilize the Live Learning Platform features to generate lessons, support engagement, and streamline preparation.
  • Manage your availability and invoice for tutoring sessions through the platform.

What We Look For In a Tutor

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in FE - Civil Engineering with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Priority given to candidates with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

  • 1-on-1 Online Tutoring – Provide personalized instruction to individual students.
  • Instant Tutoring – Accept on-demand tutoring requests whenever you're available.

    • Compensation and Logistics

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40 / hour for ongoing sessions with the same student.
  • Get paid up to twice per week.
  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as you'd like.
  • Remotely tutor using our Live Learning Platform; no commuting required.
  • We handle logistics; you invoice for sessions and we process payments.
