Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist to join our team and provide high-quality inpatient care at our affiliated hospitals. The hospitalist will manage the clinical needs of admitted patients, support surgical and specialty services through consultative internal medicine, and participate in collaborative, team-based care.
Schedule : Block schedule 7 on / 7 off (6 AM 6 PM)
Call : Round-robin rotation
ICU : Semi-closed, with specialist support
Support : Dedicated ARNP coverage
Primary Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive histories, physicals, and ongoing assessments of patients in the acute care setting.
Diagnose, manage, and actively treat a variety of patient conditions, ensuring continuity of daily care.
Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary rounds.
Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic studies and laboratory results.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care, I&D, splinting).
Prescribe and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled substances.
Collaborate with specialty and primary care physicians for consults and coordinated care.
Ensure efficient use of resources while adhering to clinical pathways and best practices.
Arrange timely referrals and transfers to tertiary facilities as clinically indicated.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Board Certified / Board Eligible (IM or FM)
Active and unrestricted Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA license (active or eligible)
