Summary
The CMM Programmer will develop, implement, and maintain measurement programs to support quality inspection activities. This role requires expertise in PC-DMIS software to ensure precision measurement, accurate data collection, and compliance with customer and industry specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS software
Develop inspection routines to verify part dimensions, tolerances, and specifications
Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and customer requirements
Maintain and troubleshoot CMM programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections as needed
Document and report inspection results, including non-conformances
Support calibration and preventative maintenance activities for metrology equipment
Collaborate with quality engineers, technicians, and production teams to resolve quality issues
Train quality personnel in proper use of CMM equipment and inspection processes
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS
Strong understanding of GD&T and dimensional inspection methods
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
Hands-on experience with inspection tools and calibration procedures
Prior manufacturing or precision machining industry experience strongly preferred
High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or degree in a related field preferred
