About the Opportunity :

The Machinist I 1st Shift position performs all aspects necessary for the machining processes used in the manufacturing of components.

Location : Stuart, Florida - Onsite Role. 1st Shift Monday to Thursday 5 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM.

Responsibilities :

Under General Supervision :

Operates all manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets

• Changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools as required
• Loads and deletes programs in the computer
• Makes minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine
• Grinds own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools)
• Maintains specific tolerances and accurately performs dimensions
• Checks parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained
• Performs routine maintenance checks and reports improper machine function
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area
• Follows all applicable safety rules and precautions
• Assists with related training of other employees as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned
