CDI / Inpatient Coding Consultant 100% Remote | U.S.-Based | Minimal Travel (10-15%)

As a CDI / Inpatient Coding Consultant, you will support the Revenue Cycle Management Team in reviewing hospital accounts, identifying reimbursement opportunities, and ensuring accurate coding and billing practices. This role requires strong analytical skills, autonomous work habits, and the ability to collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize documentation accuracy. You will play a key role in educating hospital teams, improving coding processes, and driving increased revenue through DRG optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review hospital accounts for coding / documentation errors and reimbursement opportunities.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to improve coding accuracy.
• Provide training and consulting to optimize documentation and billing workflows.
• Analyze reports to identify pain points and recommend process improvements.
• Travel (10-15%) to hospitals for hands-on support and client engagement.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and industry guidelines.
