Job Summary :We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with communication disorders in for our inpatient short-term rehabilitation community.

- Duties :
- Evaluates residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation. Conducts specialized evaluations as indicated.
- Plans and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing problems.
- Evaluates speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
- Reviews referral, physician's orders, patient's condition, and medical records to determine speech therapy treatment indicated. Accepts physician orders regarding speech therapy services.
- Plan direct or conduct rehabilitative treatment plans to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic and non-organic etiology.
- Plans and prepares written treatment plans based on evaluation of patient data in conjunction with the physician, patient, and caregiver(s).
- Participates in discharge planning.
- Participates in resident, family, and staff education.
- You must have :
- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plan
- Graduate of an accredited school of speech pathology and language disorders.
- Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the Washington State Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Experience working with geriatric residents is preferred but not require
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures.

Pay : $50.00 - $56.00 per hour

- Master's (Preferred)
Experience :
- Geriatrics : 1 year (Preferred)
