Accounts Payable Associate

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Associate   that will provide support to internal and external customers by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, including performing various assignments to maintain efficient and effective invoice management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and process incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies, internal controls, and tax regulations
• Validate pricing, quantities, and PO matching; ensure proper coding, approvals, and timely processing of invoices
• Assist with mass uploads of invoices using Oracle’s data load functionality
• Investigate and resolve invoice issues, including discrepancies with purchase orders or receiving documents
• Research and resolve past due balances and open credit memos
• Maintain supplier records, ensuring accuracy for payment compliance and annual 1099 reporting
• Initiate and authorize payments to vendors in accordance with company policies
• Complete void and returned check analysis
• Conduct supplier negative balance and invoice / supplier hold reviews
• Assist with systems testing, special projects, and participate in department projects and company initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay range for this role is $20.67 - $27.93. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations : Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
