General Equipment Specialist
Join a mission-driven team supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in advancing U.S. Navy research, engineering, and readiness. The General Equipment Specialist will apply expertise in material control, data analytics, and asset management to ensure effective accountability, audit compliance, and continuous process improvement in support of NAVSEA researchers and staff.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leverage military, warehouse, and inventory experience to deliver material control and data analytics solutions for NSWCCD operations.
- Assist in performing audits of NSWCCD's OM&S Purchase Requisition and Plant Property & Equipment
- Asset Management training courses, considering class sizes, attendance, environment, and course materials.
- Analyze and document processes using data models and simulations to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify problem areas, perform root cause analysis, and develop recommendations to improve NSWCCD processes.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, including evaluation of revenues, employment, and expenditures.
- Understand and assess the organizations structure, culture, and intergovernmental relationships.
- Prepare and solve mathematical models to support decision-making and performance analysis.
- Aid in conducting technical risk assessments and collaborate on point papers supporting new program concepts.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly through written reports and oral briefings to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field OR High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant military, DoD, or business experience related to Plant Property & Equipment / Asset Management.Experience : Minimum 5+ years in :Plant property & equipment asset management accountabilityInformation of property value and accounting depreciation dataEquipment utilization and serial number trackingProperty management and data reconciliationDemonstrated experience managing or leading a team in producing quality deliverables.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and deliver actionable solutions.Working knowledge of plant property and equipment / asset management policies and regulations.Preferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with FMR, FAR, and DoD Instruction 5000.64.Prior experience supporting NAVSEA, NSWCCD, or related Navy commands.Clearance & Eligibility :
