Overview :
Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Intern at Norfolk General Hospital
Location : Norfolk General Hospital
Status : Flexi (Minimum 1 Weekend Per Month)
Shift : Rotating
Hours : 6am-11pm
The Pharmacy Intern is responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy. Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Manages patient drug therapy in accordance with the medical staff approved clinical practice standards under the direction of a pharmacist. Serves as the primary resource for drug information within the hospital and assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders under the direction of a pharmacist.
Education
Currently Enrolled Students of a Pharmacist Program or
New Graduates of Pharmacist Program
Certification / Licensure
Virginia Pharmacist Intern License (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Within 6 months of hire
Experience
Pharmacy Experience (Preferred)
