Responsibilities and Duties
Provide clinical obstetrics and gynecology care, including postpartum and delivery coverageParticipate in call rotation for C-sections and urgent mother / baby cases (midwives take most call; OB back-up is critical)Cover labor and delivery suitePerform D&C in the ER if comfortable (not required; hospital can provide alternatives)Refer high-risk patients as needed (no maternal-fetal medicine on site)Utilize Epic EMR for documentationAdditional Information
Must hold an active Pennsylvania medical licenseBoard certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications requiredPrior experience with labor and delivery coverage preferredAbility to work collaboratively with midwives and hospital staffBenefits
