  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2100-$2250\n

  • Location : Wausau, Wisconsin (Zip : 54401) – Central Wisconsin healthcare jobs\n
  • Unit : Neuro ICU (8-bed critical care unit)\n
  • Position Type : Travel Registered Nurse (Contract)\n
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks\n
  • Start Date : October 26, 2025\n
  • End Date : February 28, 2026\n
  • Shifts : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM), variable schedule\n
  • Hours : 48 hours / week guaranteed with overtime after 48 hours worked\n
  • Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and holiday rotation required\n
  • Float : May float to MSICU and other critical care units as needed\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing (minimum); BSN preferred\n
  • Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license\n
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required\n
  • NIHSS certification preferred\n
  • At least 2 years of ICU nursing experience; prior travel RN assignment preferred\n
  • Strong clinical background in Neuro ICU and / or Med / Surg ICU\n
  • Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) charting\n
  • Experience with neuro assessments, EVDs, ICP monitoring, and ICU bedside procedures\n
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment\n

    • \n\nNeuro ICU RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to neurocritical patients (stroke, TBI, head injury, post-neurosurgery)\n
  • Conduct neuro assessments and perform basic ICU procedures (line placement, intubation)\n
  • Assist neurosurgery team with bolt and drain placements at the bedside\n
  • Monitor and manage patients with EVDs and ICP devices\n
  • Float to MSICU and other critical care units as needed\n
  • Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes\n
  • Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled\n
