CIVIL SUPERINTENDENT

SUMMARY
The Civil Superintendent position will manage assigned project, including overseeing field operations, general safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, coordination with other superintendent and project leaders on the jobsite. This position reports to the Site Manager, or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This position may be expected to travel up to 100%, or as needed for the project. Travel 100% of the time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs solar / construction personnel and / or installation subcontractors to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications
- Coordination of personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules
- Support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for activities.
- Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend / implement appropriate course of action
- Adhere to and support the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental Policies.
- Identify welding certification, training and experience appropriate for assignment scope
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state / province, and federal / national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- Typically serve as lead person to coordinate process activities within their assigned scope in an active construction work site
- Coordinate and implement activities and any other resource necessary to assure a safe and quality execution
- Generally responsible to assure all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance
- Proven ability promoting outstanding customer service and client relations
- Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets and electronic presentation programs
- May have to interact with Owner’s Field Representative and outside testing agencies
- Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or another related engineering scienceMinimum of 7-10 years of professional experience supporting the constructions of major projects, preferably in the building of power stations or supply networks, or other utility-scale construction projectsSolar PV or wind power project experience, preferredWillingness to travel and relocate from project to projectExcellent skills in MS Project or comparable project management tool, and possess strong technical aptitude, including knowledge of software development methodologies and processesStrong in Microsoft Office SuiteFluent in written and spoken English and Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience reviewing mechanical manuals of installation and design technical packagesAssertive, able to cope with pressure, a team playerAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state / province, and federal / national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerMay have to interact with Owner’s Field Representative and outside testing agenciesExperience operating construction equipment and surveying equipmentKnowledge of installation methods for the different civil systems in the industryMaterial manager and shake out civil materialsSWPPP crewsSPCC complianceRoad equipment operatorsCompaction ReportsDrawing As-builtsTravel : up to 100% as neededEXAMPLES OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS
