Position Overview :

Join the Anesthesia Group of Albany, PC , the largest anesthesia group in the Albany-Troy-Saratoga region, providing over 40 years of high-quality patient care. You will work in a high-volume heart center supporting three new cardiac surgeons across two hospitals : St. Peter’s and Samaritan.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide anesthesia for cardiac surgical procedures : CABG, valve replacements, and complex cardiac surgeries

Perform pre-op evaluations and post-op care for cardiac patients

Participate in anesthesia protocol development and quality improvement

No OB or trauma cases

No supervision of CRNAs required

Collaborate with a full care team including surgeons and nurses

Practice & Case Details :

Primary Sites : St. Peter’s Hospital (Albany) & Samaritan Hospital (Troy)

Setting : High-volume inpatient heart center

ORs : 30

Cardiac Cases / Day : 6–8

Patient Demographics : Primarily adult and geriatric; occasional pediatric cases

Schedule & Call :

Shifts : Variable 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts

Call Rotation : 1 : 5 with first call every 8th night , no second call

Weekend Call : Included in 1 : 5 rotation

Job Requirements

Candidate Requirements :

(All required at name clear unless noted)

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (within 5 years) – Required

ECHO Board Certified and / or Cardiac Fellowship Trained (must be complete prior to start) – Required

Cardiac Fellowship – Highly Preferred

NY State License or willing to obtain – Required

BLS, ACLS, PALS, DEA (must be current by start date) – Required

No candidates within 30 miles of facility – Client restriction

Base Salary : $600,000-$650,000 / year
