Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role offers an opportunity to excel in Interventional Radiology within a fast-paced, teamwork-oriented environment. The position is located in Lexington, NC, on a contract basis, and requires skilled operation of advanced imaging equipment in a Level 1 Trauma and Academic Medical Center setting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate Siemens Hybrid Artis Pheno Fluoroscopy unit independently from day one.
  • Provide support in the Operating Room by scrubbing, circulating, assisting in vascular and IR procedures including angiography, aneurysm repair, and peripheral vascular interventions.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and manage supplies efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with Neuro Radiologists, surgeons, and body specialists to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in weekend and weekday on-call rotation, responding promptly to departmental needs.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Minimum 1 year of post-graduate or on-the-job Interventional Radiology tech experience required.
  • Certification : ARRT(R) required; Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiovascular (CV) preferred; RCIS with vascular experience also acceptable.
  • BLS certification mandatory; knowledge of ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
  • Proficiency with Siemens ARTIS Q, Siemens Hybrid Artis Pheno, and GE Ultrasound technologies.
  • Ability and willingness to work in an OR environment, including scrubbing and circulating.
  • Strong angiography skills with prior experience supporting complex IR cases.
  • Department and Schedule Details :

  • Department equipped with one designated IR room and two float rooms.
  • Average patient caseload : 5 cases daily, with potential to cover additional rooms as needed.
  • Schedule includes either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts.
  • On-call duties two days per week and every fourth weekend rotation.
  • Orientation period of up to two weeks, tailored to experience level.
