About the Role

The Working Foreman plays a dual role as both a skilled tradesperson and on-site leader. This position is responsible for supervising daily construction activities, coordinating crews and subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and performing hands-on work as needed to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision : Oversee day-to-day field operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
• Crew Leadership : Direct and motivate team members and subcontractors; provide guidance and training where needed.
• Hands-On Work : Perform carpentry, framing, concrete, or other trade work alongside the crew when necessary.
• Project Coordination : Work closely with project managers to plan daily activities, manage materials, and report progress.
• Safety Compliance : Enforce safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain a clean, organized job site.
• Quality Control : Inspect work for accuracy, craftsmanship, and compliance with plans and codes.
• Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact between field operations, office staff, and clients.
• Documentation : Maintain daily reports, time sheets, delivery logs, and other required documentation.
• Problem Solving : Identify and address issues quickly to minimize delays or rework.
