Pharmacy Inventory Systems Supervisor
As a Pharmacy Inventory Systems Supervisor, you will assume responsibility for the operational aspects of the pharmacy area, including workflow management, assisting with picking, shipping, inventory issues, responding to questions and assisting with escalations. You will also complete all paperwork as required and oversee all aspects of pharmacy inventory control including providing analysis of physical inventory, discrepancy investigations, and appropriate reporting. Working closely with the Inventory Manager, you will also provide work direction, coaching and training for support personnel.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct freight put-away, consolidate reserve locations, coordinate slotting and arrange transfers to storage to ensure maximum, operative usage.
- Organize the warehousing of pharmacy inventory for efficient movement of product through the distribution process.
- Foster a safe, sanitary pharmacy area to ensure a quality work environment.
- Utilize reporting systems to provide the Shift Managers and other Department Managers with accurate accounts of production activities.
- Perform special projects as needed and assigned.
- Encourage open lines of communication with other Shift Managers, Supervisors and subordinates to ensure cohesiveness and safe, efficient operation of the Pharmacy Distribution Center.
- Maintain VAWD certification.
- Communicate and enforce all federal, state, DSCSA, local law and the corporate policies and procedures.
- Maintain a consistent presence on the pharmacy warehouse floor to observe, monitor and coach job performance of the Distribution Center Team Members.
- Ensure product integrity and cold chain management process for refrigerated items.
- Ensure proper records are kept for regulatory and compliance.
- Oversee inventory support roles and responsibilities including maintenance of integrity and stock levels of on-site inventory.
- Audit inventory to confirm supplier's accuracy and packing quantity and monitor inventory levels through established inventory practices.
- Identify, analyze and support resolution to quality issues to encourage a cooperative work environment.
- Supervise the unloading and receiving of product to ensure pharmacy requirements and regulations are met.
