Peer Recovery Specialist (Wilmington)

Helps to Provide r esources and Referrals for Supportive services to clients referred by the Police Department.

Assist with case management and treatment needs. Coordinate community services for clients.

Qualification :

• Delaware Certified Peer Recovery Specialist or able to obtain in the first 6 months of working.
• Past or present consumer of mental health or substance abuse services with a history of managing ones own illness and experience working with people in the community.
• A sound understanding of mental health and / or substance abuse problems and treatments.
• Valid Driver's license and ability to maintain fleet service driving privilege.
• Ability to use good judgement, work well with others and maintain confidentiality.
• Familiarity with the community, able to use good judgement, and build good rapport with clients and community partners.
