To be a part of our team

We recommend that you :

  • are bilingual in English and Spanish
  • have 2+ years of experience as a paralegal
  • Prior personal injury experience is preferred, but not required.

    Our law firm's bilingual paralegal will support our fast-growing plaintiff's injury law firm and interact with clients, medical providers, attorneys, judges, and other legal professionals. Organization and attention to detail are two of the most important qualities for this position. Together, we assist our clients in overcoming challenges and building a better life.

    As a paralegal, a typical day might include the following

  • Address each task list assigned through our case management system each day.
  • Respond to emails and telephone calls within 24 hours in a solution-oriented manner.
  • Assist in drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Maintain organized client files, including discovery production, medical records, expert documents and trial exhibits.
  • Complete summaries of medical expenses, treatment records, and reports.
  • Communicate with clients who are going through difficult circumstances.
  • Facilitate communication with experts to provide documents and obtain reports.
  • Complete e-filing of documents in state and federal court.
  • Calendaring and scheduling deadlines and court dates and complete administrative support tasks for attorneys.

  • Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • 2+ years of prior paralegal experience in a law firm, preferably in personal injury
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, curious and lifelong learner
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat DC, case management software (we use Filevine), and research tools.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Understand Missouri & Kansas court rules for civil procedure.
  • Experience e-filing in PACER, Casenet and Kansas Courts.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, discovery documents, and legal correspondence.
