Field Operations Technician

We're seeking a seasoned

• Telecom Field Operations Technician
• to support a major fiber and telecom infrastructure across Gulfport, MS and surrounding areas. • What You'll Do
• Install, maintain, and support fiber optic infrastructure, voice / data networks, and telecom transport systems
• Perform fiber optic splicing, stripping, and emergency repairs (OSP, aerial, and buried)
• Configure IP networks including routers and servers
• Oversee installations and coordinate with contractors and vendors
• Maintain accurate circuit documentation and equipment inventories
• Support SCADA systems and use tools like Site Tracker for project oversight
• Respond to reactive and preventive maintenance needs across field sites
• Participate in 24x7 on-call operations as needed
• What You Bring
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in telecom or electronics technology
• Strong background in IP networking and fiber optic repair / splicing
• Familiarity with microwave, wireless, voice, and data network topologies
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware / software across telecom systems
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50 miles / day
• Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in field conditions
• Must pass a DOT physical exam
• Nice to Have
• FCC license or equivalent radio repair certification
• Experience with SCADA systems and Site Tracker
• Military electronics training or technical degree in telecom / electronics

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $26.00 / hr.
