Description :
Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs.

Assists with providing safe, age-appropriate care to patients.
Performs all exams according to department procedures.
Has the knowledge and ability to obtain quality diagnostic studies.
Responsible for performing technical procedures requiring independent judgment.
Independently performs job functions.
Sets up equipment and positions patients for procedures.
Works with students during their clinical rotation.
Obtains complete clinical history and assesses for contraindicating conditions.
Follows established procedures for the administration of contrast media.
Ensures studies have proper patient identification and markers are utilized appropriately.
Reviews radiographic images for clinically acceptable results.
Responds to emergency situations as needed.
Assists other technologists in all modalities when applicable.
Observes patient condition and evaluates situations requiring physician intervention.
Verifies two unique patient identifiers and correct clinical orders prior to procedures.
Ensures patient's privacy and comfort are maintained.
Demonstrates competence in the application of appropriate procedures based on patient age.
Organizes schedule and priorities to accomplish required activities.
Uses critical thinking and asks clarifying questions when needed.
Understands and documents pre-procedural verification and Time Out processes when appropriate.
Preps patients for procedures while demonstrating sterile technique if applicable.
Maintains competency with venipuncture when applicable.
Demonstrates ability to adjust techniques for the lowest possible dose of ionizing radiation.
Reports equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
Cleans and maintains equipment according to infection control policies.
Operates all aspects of the diagnostic imaging system safely and competently.
Patient education is conducted to minimize anxiety and facilitate cooperation.
Ensures patients' questions and concerns are satisfactorily addressed.
Participates in the orientation and training of departmental employees.
Provides patients with preparatory instructions and explanations of procedures.
Documents required information concisely and legibly.
Reads emails daily and follows through with assigned tasks.
Completes mandatory education without prompting.
Consistently produces high-quality images with appropriate technique and positioning.
Checks equipment for proper calibration and operational deficiencies before each use.
Sends studies to PACS and ensures exams are correctly marked and labeled.
Restocks linens and supplies, maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Transports and positions patients as needed.
Performs patient charging activities on the day services are rendered.
Applies shielding and supportive devices during procedures.
Assists others as needed while ensuring continuity of services.
Maintains supervisor informed of responsibilities and potential issues.
Maintains productivity rate that aligns with co-workers.
Complies with regulatory agency standards.
Takes call when necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
