The North Carolina League of Municipalities is recruiting for a Risk Control Consultant to work in the Risk Management Field Services Department. The purpose of this position is to provide professional consulting services in risk management and loss control related issues to municipalities. This is accomplished by advising municipal officials of programs to minimize losses, analyzing exposures for potential losses, overseeing employee injury and illness statistics, working closely with staff and members to advise and assist in developing and implementing risk management solutions, controlling property and liability exposure, investigating and analyzing specific incidents. Other duties include :
Minimum Qualification : Must have advanced knowledge of Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point and excellent writing skills. Position requires basic understanding of the various lines of insurance coverage frequently used by municipalities. Must have knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA and other industry standards related to risk control topics. Prefer four year college degree in a related field. Prefer ARM or CSP designations. Requires residence in assigned work area.
Requires regular travel within the state of North Carolina and occasional overnight stays.
