Position Summary :

The Senior Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the controls systems for HVAC products that meet or exceed best-in-class performance. The person will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary product development and product support team. The Senior Controls Engineer has firsthand knowledge and experience in the areas of embedded firmware and software development, software development tools, product life cycle management process, software modelling techniques, software testing, design for manufacturing, etc. The Senior Controls Engineer will employ a balanced combination of advanced analytical techniques and experimental methods. Although the Senior Controls Engineer's prime responsibility will be software / firmware development, the Senior Controls Engineer is expected to have a competent working knowledge of hardware electronics, hands-on skills with lab / diagnostic equipment and tools, and familiarity with a stage gate product development process.

Essential Functions :

• Support system design engineering, product engineering, manufacturing, sales & marketing, quality and supply chain functions.
• Interface with vendors, customers, and field personnel.
• Provide measurable contributions to several NPD projects and sustaining initiatives, as well as help support legacy products through their complete life cycle.

Skills & Abilities :

Education : Bachelor's in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Computer Science with a preferred emphasis on electronic controls system design is required.

Experience : Minimum of 5 years of product development experience.
