To support the mental health needs of students and provide resources to students. The Personal Counselor position is funded in partnership with the NJ Office of the Secretary of Higher Education and with funds provided by the Mental Health in Higher Education : Community Provider Partnerships and Professional Development Grant.
Position Summary
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field from an accredited program.
Experience : Minimum of two years of counseling experience; Minimum of two years of experience working with young adults in an educational or training capacity; Ability to communicate in more than one language.
Other : Current New Jersey independent clinical license as an LPC or LCSW.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Proficiency in the use of technology to include Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience working with a college data platform. Possess a creative and innovative approach to problem solving. Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and work independently with limited supervision.
