Job Title : Extrusion Operator
Shift : 3rd Shift
Pay : Up to $24 / hr.
Location : Cedar Springs, MI
We are seeking a motivated Extrusion Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion equipment to produce high-quality sheet material for downstream use.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up, adjust, and operate extrusion lines and auxiliary equipment to meet production and quality specifications.
- Perform cold-start and shutdown procedures, following established safety and operational standards.
- Monitor line performance, troubleshoot issues, and adjust settings to maintain thickness, width, clarity, and other quality standards.
- Conduct material testing, including moisture checks, and ensure raw materials are properly handled and loaded.
- Remove, wrap, label, and transport finished rolls to assigned areas.
- Operate forklifts, hand jacks, and related equipment to move raw materials and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate records within production and quality systems.
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and light maintenance, reporting larger issues to maintenance as needed.
- Follow housekeeping and safety procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
