Quality, Health, and Safety Coordinator
Under the supervision of the QA Manager, the Quality, Health & Safety Coordinator performs diverse and complex duties requiring thorough knowledge and understanding of all applicable procedures and policies pertaining to OSHA's General Industry Standards and FSMA Regulations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting the Chobani EHS & Quality Departments in assigned workload.
- Expected to spend 50% of their time on the floor assisting and auditing the following tasks :
- Safety Compliance to include : PPE, LOTO, Slip Trip Fall Prevention, Safe PIT operation, Confined Space Entry Permits, Live Electrical Work, Haz Com
- Quality Program Compliance to include; GMPs, holds, trials, Agtron, Oxygen level on roasted coffee. TDS, pH of concentrate
- Responsible for verifying the accurate and legibility of product code dates (expiration, best by, manufacturing, etc.)
- Ensuring that our Safety Training Tracking System (Success Factors) and Quality Training Tracking system are kept up to date including assignment profiles and training tracking reports.
- Takes part in delivering Core Quality & Safety Authorized Training, New Hire Orientation, and Contractor Safety Training.
- Work directly with site supervisors, managers, and frontline employees to address quality & safety concerns, developing strong working relationships with leadership to help lead Quality & Safety programs for entire departments.
- In conjunction with site EHS Supervisor and Quality Manager conducts post-accident / incident investigations and prepares reports identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.
- Conduct site walkthroughs and formal audits to identify hazards, compliance outages and prepare corrective action plans.
- Works productively and harmoniously with others on a consistent basis.
- Consistently maintain professional and appropriate demeanor.
Requirements
Experience and Knowledge in OSHA and Food Safety RegulationsExcellent computer, communication, and training skills.3-4 Years of experience in a manufacturing environment with key experiences around safety and quality programsExcellent MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer skills.Ability to effectively train large groups of people on complex subjects effectively
