Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring a CT or compact RN license and 3 years of PICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a Level I Trauma Center
  • Average patient ratio of 1 : 2
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours, from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Clinician must float within scope to other pediatric units, including Pediatric ED, NNICU, inpatient pediatrics, and psychiatric units as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • Must be comfortable floating to various pediatric units and taking patient assignments as needed
  • Royal blue scrubs are required
  • Pre-start modules must be completed prior to beginning assignment
  • Only non-local candidates located more than 75 miles from the facility will be considered
  • RTO up to 7 days is auto approved; greater than 7 days requires approval
  • Return staff must be gone 2 years before being eligible for traveler positions

  • Active CT or compact RN license or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Minimum 3 years of PICU RN experience required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Cardiac critical care experience preferred
  • CRRT and ECMO certification preferred
  • Experience in a large trauma center required
  • No previous permanent employment within the past 2 years at this facility
  • Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
  • COVID vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption is provided
